The fact that Robert Hewitt Wolfe and Zach Stenz are posing 'if Sy Fy bought the rights to Andromeda, and rebooted it" type of questions about casting and plotlines, makes me wonder if Syfy has IN FACT bought the rights to Andromeda and is thinking of rebooting it.

Edit: Also, it's telling me a lot of things I was completely unaware of re: original scripts before the thing was shot like the fact that Beka and Tyr were originally the same character.

I think it would depend on if it were an original movie in the style of Megapython or Mammoth, or they mean 'original movie' as in how the pilots for Caprica, Galactica, Farscape or Haven were "original movies".

True enough. Though, from the possible castings that Wolfe and Zach are throwing around, I'm both afraid AND not afraid. Brian Austin Greene, if it were before Sarah Connor Chronicles, would have scared me as an idea for Dylan Hunt, but now...idk. Maybe.

Yeah, I liked him in Sarah Connor Chronicles, and he couldn't be worse than The Ego.

Yeah, exactly, plus he somehow managed to make his episodes of Smallville bearable, and I know they've worked with him before.

I do protest Fran Kranz for Harper simply because 1) I'm pretty sure Woolvett could still pull Harper off, and 2) People would compare it to Topher on Dollhouse.

Woolvett probably still could, and I thought Topher was already a Harper clone, so having the actor actually playing Harper possibly as Topher sets off a meta bomb inside my head.

Hell, I'm sure Woolvett could use the work, plus then all the Canadian actors I like would be on Sy Fy again.

Aha, yeah. I'm sure Joss didn't see him as a Harper clone, but uh...Joss would be wrong.

I miss seeing Woolvett on my TV.

Saaaame. I was tempted to see if I could find episodes of that...idk. Lifeguard or whatever show he was on til last year, but Idk. Though, I see now from imdb that Steve Bacic was ALSO on it so it might be good for a "...WEIRD alternate world" brain fart type of thing.

Since Steve Bacic and Lexa Doig have shown up (separately) on Supernatural, I'm still holding out hope that Gordon will appear at some point. *g*

Have they REALLY? I know Steve Bacic has been on Smallville (as two different characters, weirdly), so maybe there too. XD

Man, if they did reboot it and it was decent, I'd just be annoyed that I no longer have cable.

If it was a tv show, it probably would be decent. Syfy's shows aren't that terrible, even if some of them I don't particularly care for. They're GOOD shows I don't particularly care for.

I think you can watch Syfy shows on the website, but am not sure.

So do I, but I really, really hope he's not in this. Or if he IS, I hope he plays against type.
