Feb. 10th, 2004 12:55 pmSchool and Year you graduated
Clonlara School, 1997. But that was only because I'd finished all my HS credits, and Huron wanted me to take credits I didn't need, and wouldn't let me continue to dual enroll at Community Alternative School. So I dropped out of both, enrolled in Clonlara School's home school section, took tests for all the classes I had D's in, and took classes at the community college for both high school and collegiate credit.
Number of people in your graduating class:
Around a couple thousand. Clonlara is the leading homeschool in the country. They even have people in other countries. It's fucking disturbing.
Nickname in high school?
Heh. I wasn't that popular.
Sport you were into?
sp..ort? What is this "sport"?
Had a circle of friends?
I had Jess, who slept in graveyards; thought she was a werewolf; cut herself constantly; raised rats; worked at my mom's bong shop with me. Once, she shjaved off HALF her hair, braided the rest into a dreadlock and tied a barbie doll onto it. She now owns three houses, is married and has a baby. And I think she changed her name to Samanthule, or some shit like that. I still call her Jess though, so I dunno.
I also had Ken (or: "Cosmo", as he enjoyed being called), who was my first director in Rocky. Cosmo was the model of many of my first graphic design works. All of which are trapped on EZ-Disks never to be seen again unless I can somehow find a computer in this town that is attached to a Syquest EZ drive.
There was Andrew, the required "kid in a black trench coat". He was an odd one. Nice! But odd. He wore these weird spike things on his shoulder for a while once, until he was visiting his dad in cali, and his dad slapped him on the shoulder, brotherly-like, and you can imagine the rucus that caused.
Best subject?
Television/film, followed by Science Fiction/Horror Fiction, British Lit, Shakespeare, Sumerian, Latin, and Junk Art.
Hehhe. Alt-High Schools.
Worst subject?
Algebra. US Government. Things like that.
A teacher you owe life lessons to?
He wasn't a high school teacher.
Describe in one word... (Sure but then I'll cheat and explain it.)
Freshman (year 9): Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeh
Sophmore (year 10): Rocky!!
Junior (year 11): DORK!
Senior (year 12): Clonlara.
Your best friend was?
I didn't have a best friend til much later. My closest friend was probabally Jess/Sam, because she listened to my shit. The fact that she liked my mother was slightly disturbing.
Also, Curtis, because he supplied me with kind words and comic books and the fact that he was HOT. Plus, he's the only one from my high school years I still know.
Amusing fact: Curtis' store was on in a pink house. My mom's store was on 4th. Now my mom's store is in the pink house, and Curtis' store is on 4th.
We SWITCHED STORES. BWA!
Worst friend?
Julia. Or rather *narrow eyes, deep voice of DOOM* Julia. There are no words.
Cafeteria food sucked?
We didn't have a cafeteria at Community. We didn't have a cafeteria staff. We were allowed to leave campus for food. We were allowed to leave campus whenever we wanted. You were allowed to miss an entire week of classes without reprecussion, as long as you stopped in and told the teacher. This is why I was practically LIVING at the local comic shops.
Wore uniforms?
Hahahaha!!! Oh, you're serious. No.
How was the prom?
Alt!school's don't have proms, and I was only at my actual high school for one class a day, so I didn't go.
Who were the prom king and queen?
Like I know. I suppose it's in the yearbook. It's probabally that girl who died in that car wreck though.
Any achievements?
I chaired the halloween dances on the activities commitee, and was staff photographer for the yearbook.
Were you popular?
I was Z-Crowd. We were freaks even at an alt-high.
Best song that reminds you of high school?
